This is the time; you have been listened because WhatsApp app is going to add voice call services option to it later this year.
WhatsApp has been acquired by Facebook for 16 billion dollars only. And this Acquisition has proven lucky for the biggest messages app users, as now WhatsaApp CEO Jan Koum has made an announcement at Mobile World Congress, which TechCrunch has reported as:
We use the least amount of bandwidth and we use the hell out of it,” [Koum] said. “We will focus on simplicity.” Voice will come to Android and iOS first and then following on some Nokia and BlackBerry phones, he added.
According to the above mentioned report, BlackBerry users will be getting lucky as well along with iOS and Android users, as some of the other apps do not support BlackBerry for voice call services.
On the birthday of the company, in the earlier hours of 24th of February 2014, CEO Koum added that WhatsApp has made 465 million monthly active users and 330 million daily users. And there is an immense increase in the number of users than last week. The company was founded in 2009.
There is no evidence, if there are going to be some subscription charges or not for voice services. But it will give WhatsApp a big add-on.
