Are you much dependent on Google Maps? We have recently covered a post for you on “how to save Google Maps offline”. But now we have great news to share with you. The next version of Android 5.0 OS, Android L, will have much of the cool upgrades to its Google Maps app.
Let’s see, what changes will be there with the new update of Google Maps. It will bring biking elevations that you have ever wished for. Not only this, but also the navigation voice controls. Just ask Google Maps and you are done. You will be able to take full advantage of this upgrade, ask about turns and time you need to reach at your destination. You can also mute the voice commands. And if your device is too full to operate with the full traffic mode, you can switch the mode off. Choose the shortest way or you can also go and check the alternative ways while you stuck somewhere.
What else would be there in the new Google Maps update? Other than Voice actions and voice navigation, you can get all your Places now from the slide-out menu. You can also swap the voice icon from the search bar with the person icon, which was used for loading of your Places. You can also see the density of the traffic, while you are on the road and ready to take some route. Moreover, there is a Bicycle directions mode that shows elevation. You can check which of the routes are more inclining and which of the routes best suit you, all from the Google Maps update from your phone. Car tab of navigation now shows Uber card. They have changed ETA and from now on you will not be able to see the bold type.
