Facebook has been doing updates and improving its platform but not very often. And what if we tell you that facebook is now going to get an update to hear your background sounds. Would you still call it another improvement?
Now, here the question arises, WhatsApp was a way to get into people’s life via their conversations and now this facebook app feature for background voice and sound record! Do you think these all are rumors or do they have really some hardcore record to maintain via spying?
Don’t be paranoid. Let’s see the flip side of the coin and be positive for a while and see what this facebook update brings to us!
Well, let’s have a sneak peek on what we really do with our facebook apps. We hang out with our friends or even watch some TV shows with our family, or move into some special restaurant – we like to brag about. We jump into our facebook accounts, check in and finally type the status and upload it. Does this sound familiar to you? Let’s put it in another way like what you are watching is “Mad Men”. For instance, you need to allow facebook app just to hear the background sounds and recognize the sound and says “YOUR NAME – is now watching Mad Men”. Life easier, do you find it as a facility?
There have been out there number of apps, which have been using this feature from the day one. For example, we can consider the name of Shazam. This app was launched for iOS users only but due to its big hit recently it was made available for Android users as well and now for your PC too. It works fine, you need to just let the app hear the background sound and it recognizes your songs or whatever you are listening to. If you don’t have name of the song, let the Shazam listen to it and bring it for you.
But for the time being, facebook is going to launch this feature only for status updates and a blue icon will present it. The blue icon will appear as long as the app listen to your background sound and it will disappear as soon as the app stops listening.
So tell us, what do you think of this new update, facebook background sound recognition? This update is going to hit in a week or two, meanwhile, share your views in the comment section below.
