WhaysApp has become one of the most used and hit app for several users to communicate and interact with each other. Billions of messages are shared on daily basis around the globe. Even Android SMS has been very much replaced by WhatsApp message services. If you are a part of this global community, then at times, you want to save some conversations, while for other times you don’t bother to care about. But still, to save your messages and to retrieve them on some other phone in case you change your cell phone or lose one (God Bless you). Here is a thing to keep in mind.
Connect your cell phone with your PC via USB cable. Make sure it is connected and ready for database access. Look into your phone’s database and find WhatsApp/Databases folder. It contains all the backup files, you have ever made till the date. It will save the backup your data in date-wise order. So, the latest will be on the top, while the oldest will be at the end. You can copy the backup files from the database, all of the database or some of it. Copy and paste the files to your computer as PC/Drive/Cloud Storage, or whichever name you like.
But how to make backup files first?
The app makers have made it easy already. Go into the Settings of WhatsApp and create the backup from there as shown below:-
This has made a backup storage in your computer. Zip it, password protect it or let it be safe in your personal folder of your PC. In case, you want to retrieve the conversations you have once saved. All you need to do is a copy paste in reverse order. For example, if you need to restore your chat files, copy from your PC to database of your mobile in the folder, WhatsApp/Databases folder. Restart your app and you will be able to get your old conversations.
